GENERAL WEATHER SITUATION SWITZERLAND

Until sunday, Switzerland is located in the southern edge of a high pressure system with its center in the Norwegian Sea. On north side of the Alps, a weak to moderate northeasterly current continues.


WEATHER TODAY

During night sky is partly cloudless. Some fog patches can develop in the Plateau. Lows between 8 and 11 degrees in the north and between 10 and 13 degrees in the south.


OUTLOOK

Friday is sunny and dry and apart from some clouds mostly fair. Some bigger cumulus clouds are possible in the southern Alps.
The weekend should stay pleasent and dry. Cumulus clouds are more frequent in the north and east on Saturday and in the south on Sunday, leading to occasional afternoon showers. Highs between 20 to 23 degrees in the north with a continuing northeasterly current, up to 26 degrees in the south.

The night has only few clouds. Friday is often sunny. In the afternoon some bigger cumulus clouds are possible between Monte Rosa and Valposchiavo, but weather remains mainly dry.

At the weekend it is widespread sunny with some cumulus clouds, on Saturday more along the northeastern Alps, on Sunday more along the southern Alps. Occasional afternoon showers are possible, but it remains mainly dry. On the crests blows weak to moderate wind from west.
